Spine is a floor-length halter gown in Dastan Navy Silk Chanderi, softly gathered through the upper bodice, shaped at the waist and gradually opening towards the hem. A narrow line of hand embroidery travels down the centre front in linked repeating forms worked with metallic thread, cutdana, beads and slender pipes.

The shoulders and upper back remain open, creating a quiet counterpoint to the long embroidered front.

CRAFT NOTE

Small geometries are repeated until they become a line. Metallic thread establishes each form while cutdana, beads and slender pipes alter the way each repeat receives light. The idea of inlay is retained through contrast, but its scale changes through accumulation.
